Data Processing and Report Generation

Your Survey Consultant will receive the completed questionnaires, enter them into a computer file, and generate reports as specified by the Steering Committee. Normally, this is done within two weeks after the last questionnaire is received, and feedback can occur on a timely basis. Depending on the resources of your Survey Consultant, you should be able to get a daily tally on participation rates by major units. This monitoring of participation rates will enable you to identify organizations with unusually low numbers and take action to improve the participation. The order and method of distributing the reports will be worked out by the Steering Committee. This should reflect the communication style that is appropriate for your organization. Some organizations have a bottom-up distribution where lower level reports are distributed first and higher levels later. Others prefer a top-down distribution model. There is no one best way. What is appropriate for your organization may not work elsewhere, and vice versa.
